AFCAT 2 2016 Result

Indian Air Force conducts Air Force Common Aptitude Test (AFCAT) twice a year for recruitment of Permanent and Short Service Commissioned Officers in the three branches of Indian Air Force i.e.

  1. Flying Branch,
  2. Technical Branch,
  3. Ground Duty Branch

AFCAT 2 2016 was held on 28th August 2016 at 61 AFCAT centres in India. The result of AFCAT is announced today on 07th October 2016. The candidates must login to the candidates login section on the official website and check the scores of their exams.

Next Stage:

  • The candidates who qualify the AFCAT 2 2016 are further appear for AFSB’s (Air Force Selection Board) Interview which is a 05 days testing process followed by Medical Examination. For that, the candidates are required to submit preferences for AFSB centers which are mentioned below
  1. Dehradun – 1 AFSB
  2. Mysore – 2 AFSB
  3. Gandhinagar – 3 AFSB
  4. Varanasi – 4 AFSB
  5. Coimbatore – 5 AFSB
  • At AFSB the selection would be done in three stages:
  1. Stage -I: It is also known as Screening Test. It consists of Intelligence test followed by Picture Perception and Description Test.
  2. Stage -II: It comprises of Psychological, Group Tests, Interview and Conference.
  3. Stage – III: The candidates who are recommended in Stage -II further appear for Medical Examination at the Medical Boards for another 4-5 days.

After this procedure, a Merit List is published by Indian Air Force for those candidates who had successfully made through all the stages according to the vacancies available in respective branches.
